Mentoring and role models to support the integration of migrant and refugee students

The aim of this workshop is to empower teachers and students to act as role models in the integration process of new migrant and refugee students, by developing a mentoring model adapted to the linguistic context and the school environment, to develop learning, to clarify doubts, to prepare for assessment moments, and to carry out other activities related to migrants’ integration into the education system.

Three workshops were organized for teachers, school leaders and other professional working with children and youth in October and November, over 70 participants participated in the trainings. The main focus was laid to mentoring processes and practical approaches to the implementation of the mentoring models in schools, identifying mentoring needs and preparing for piloting activities in the classrooms.
