The dissemination event aimed to present the project and the products it has developed in order to help to ensure a more effective integration process of newly arrived third-country children into the education system and learning environment, and to promote culturally diverse school systems. 36 school teachers, school staff members, educational specialists from different primary and secondary schools in Kaunas gathered in Santara gymnasium.
Project coordinators in Lithuania presented the main developed educational tools for teachers and school leaders: •
- Toolkit for school leaders and teachers: “How to create and sustain culturally sensitive and inclusive school systems that foster educational integration”
- Training manual: “Mentoring and Role Models in Supporting the Integration of Migrant and Refugee Pupils”
- Online course: “How to welcome migrant and refugee students in my classroom”
The distance learning course was presented in more detail and the participants had a possibility to register for that course. The participants of the event were informed that all the developed materials of the project will be available on the project website http://passageproject.eu and anyone interested may download them free. The project outputs can be used and adapted to their needs. They also were invited to join the workshops on mentoring and role models with experts in pedagogical integration.
