Are you a teacher working with migrant and refugee students?
Learn more on how to create inclusive classrooms for all students through the “Mentoring and Role Models” pilot programme of the PASSAGE project. The pilot programme aims to provide students and teachers the opportunity to act as “role models” in the integration process of newly arrived students from third countries (refugees, asylum seekers and migrants), through the creation of a mentoring model.
Mentoring is a strategy for accepting and integrating newly arrived children into the school system, providing them with guidance and support through peer-to-peer interaction with other students, which can – enhance the students’ personal, interpersonal and school development, -while promoting friendship, sharing and cultural exchange.
Teachers will no longer be alone in implementing reception and inclusion practices, encouraging the involvement of the whole school community.
